I've been passionate about writing ever since I was a little kid making comic books on my grandparents' computer (before household computers were really a thing—not to date myself). That childhood love only grew as I got older, and by the time I was in high school, I had a recurring segment on a popular teen's website.

Around that same time, I also discovered a love for making movies—especially for the editing process. My friends and I made plenty of silly home movies, but I also quickly became my school's go-to videography, making videos that were played at school assemblies, banquets, and talent shows. I also submitted to and won a few video contests.

In college, my love for writing and video editing led me to jobs such as a writing tutor and communications specialist. I found satisfaction in helping students write and edit their papers, and by the time I graduated, I'd assisted nearly a thousand students with writing assignments in 170 university courses. As a communications specialist, I wrote, filmed, and edited numerous videos for different companies and projects. These ranged from commercials to professional videos. Beyond these jobs, I also worked as a student journalist, local TV show intern, and ghostwriter for numerous lifestyle websites.

After graduating with a bachelor's in linguistics and a minor in English, I pursued a master's in language and communication at Georgetown University. While in school, I worked as a writer and editor for a tech company and as a language specialist for a pharmaceutical marketing company.

In my current full-time job, I oversee my agency's language testing program, which includes writing and rating English composition tests. I've also recorded training videos and workshops for employees across the country. My other duties have included writing and editing training manuals, agency-wide policy documents, professional presentations, and other technical documents.

​

During all of this, I've continued to pursue my own personal projects, including short stories, novels, screenplays, and filming. Many of my pieces have been published or received awards, and I even wrote a children's book. I currently work with a local production company that makes short films, one of which will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival this year!

 

When it comes to storytelling, I love both written and visual media. I am a competent and experienced writer, editor, and video editor, and  I'm excited to work with you no matter what stage of the writing procces you're in!
